Join us on Saturday 28 February for our Cruinn Còmhla Gaelic community as part of Gaelic Week 2026! There will be something there for everyone, whatever your age and stage of Gaelic.
This will be the third in a series of four community events held by Ionad Gàidhlig Dhùn Èideann in 2025/26 and, as at Cruinn Còmhla in November and in January, on 28 February we will once again be running Gaelic classes (see below to register) and there will also be lots of free, drop-in activities, and a cafe where for a cup of tea and a chat – see more below.
Come and join us, to meet others in the community, to speak and learn Gaelic, and to support the initiative for a Gaelic Hub in Edinburgh!

Other activities
Whether or not you are taking a Gaelic class, why not join us at our all-day cafe – with tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits on offer – with music, board games, and a chance to use your Gaelic in an informal context.
You will be able to find out more about the initiative to set up a Gaelic Hub in Edinburgh and join us as a member!
There will also be a range of drop-in activities which will aim at allowing learners to extend their vocabulary, develop their understanding of Gaelic grammar, and practise their conversation skills, and for fluent speakers to take part in community activities.
The full programme will be published soon, but keep an eye out for:
- Cothrom còmhraidh: informal conversation group
- Seinnidh Sinn song group
- Comhairle nan Leabhraichean Gaelic book stall
- Gaelic psalm singing
- Arts & Crafts for wee ones, with Cròileagan Dhùn Èideann
And much more to be added over the next couple of weeks…
